Charles L. Cochrane was born in the hills of Missouri on January 29, 1923. During World War Two "Chuck" Cochrane served in the First Marine Parachute Regiment in the South Pacific. Upon discharge, he returned to Missouri to attend Moran School of Commercial Art and Kansas City Art Institute. In 1958 he moved to southern California where he began to paint a variety of subjects including western scenes, landscapes, seascapes, maritime subjects, and floral still lifes. He died in Garden Grove, CA on May 1, 1990.
